London Jazz Festival 2014 Prizewinners’ Extravaganza

Musicians’ Company Jazz (the jazz programme of the Worshipful Company of Musicians) is pleased yet again to be involved with the EFG London Jazz Festival.

Taking place over ten days in November at various venues throughout London, the EFG/LJF is now a significant event in the international jazz calendar.

On Thursday 20th November (7.00 pm – 8.45 pm) at 229 The Venue, Great Portland Street, NW1, Musicians’ Company Jazz will be hosting yet another of its prizewinners’ Extravaganzas.

Featuring the six finalists of our 2014 Award for Young Jazz Musicians including: winner Moses Boyd (drums), Misha Mullov-Abbado (Bass), Sam James (Piano), Nadim Teimoori (Tenor Sax), Tom Green (Trombone), Phil Meadows (Alto Sax), these up and coming young artists will be joined by previous Company prizewinners and now established musicians, Andy Panayi (flute and saxes) and Tom Cawley (piano). Livery members who were at the sold-out Competition in September will confirm that the music and musicians were brilliant; this follow-up event promises to be even better!
