COMPOSERS: Who Need Them?
 

On 8 October a special day conference takes place at India Hall, The Royal Over-Seas League in Park Place, off St James’s Street, London W1A 1LR. Entitled Composers: Who needs them? – Composers and the Community, the conference is being presented by the Musicians’ Company in association with The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters. The Keynote Speaker will be Master of the Queen’s Music, Sir Peter Maxwell Davies. This conference sets out to raise the profile of the classically-trained composer working in concert, theatre and media music.
