The Livery Schools Link Seminar on the Musicians' Company Outreach Project took place at Barber-Surgeons' Hall on Wednesday, 9th June.
Livery Schools Link in association with the Musicians' Company invited a number of Music Advisors and teachers from a wide variety of Inner City London Schools to witness the Company's Yeomen in action!
The Outreach Project is organised by the Yeomen Coordinator, Mrs Patricia Norland Prindl and her team.
These talented young musicians are all post graduate students and have all won major prizes or scholarships from the Company. The Yeomen Coordinator organises their visit to the schools to demonstrate their instrument to the children, some who have never seen a live performance of any kind.

Leslie Boulin Roulet (
right), studying at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, showing her skill on the violin to a group of primary children, whom she had asked to conduct her and her pianist - they think its great fun making them play very fast!
The benefit to the children who are lucky enough to witness one of these sessions is incalculable.
The Company has, at any one time, in the region of 120 Yeomen, who are singers, violinists, cellists, wind and brass players, harpists, pianists and then there are those who play the m

ost of diverse instruments such as Ksenija Sidorova (
left), who is a classical accordionist. Ksenija has done a number of Outreach sessions, which are always well recieved. The children are particularly interested in all aspects of her instrument.
The Company is extremely proud of its Yeomen and is keen to continue to support their careers.
Amy Dickson
(right), a saxophonist
has recorded two CDs, the second of which was voted the Editor's Choice by Gramophone magazine. She has been supported by the Company in various ways and despite her 'stellar' career, still keeps in touch and helps the Company with Outreach.
Jessica Grimes a clarinettist, is another Yeoman who regularly does Outreach sessions and took part in the Seminar.
The Company pay the Yeomen a small expenses fee to do the Outreach sessions, but our funds are not limitless and if you feel you want to support this extremely worthwhile project - a mere £100 will secure a session for a school, badly in need of some beautiful music.
