Biography

Connor studied piano at the Royal Welsh college of Music and Drama, and gained a masters in Musical Direction from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. As a pianist, Connor has been the recipient of several prizes and awards including The Phillipa Whitlaw-Yardley Memorial Prize, The Eric Hodges Prize, The Princess Diana Memorial Award, and was a finalist in the 2016 Royal Welsh Concerto Competition. In 2016, he became the first ever recipient of The Musicians Company Musical Director Award and became a yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians. In 2017 he was made the Andrew Lloyd Webber Associate Musical Director at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Connor has also worked for ITV has an on-screen harpsichordist, has recorded music for Prima Facie Records, and has made appearances with The Three British Tenors. Many of his own musical compositions have been recorded by artists such as the Lux Quartet and the Messy Anne Quartet, for which Connor is the pianist. As a Musical Director, past credits include Rasputin Rocks! (Stockwell Playhouse), Grand Hotel (Unicorn Theatre), The Phantom of the Opera (Redgrave Theatre, Bristol) and Into the Woods (Dewstow Gardens).
